Living in Harmony
Raquel understands that trauma can leave us feeling utterly alone, disrupting our sense of safety and triggering a cascade of stress responses in both mind and body. Recognizing the importance of addressing trauma from all angles, Raquel has immersed herself in techniques like EMDR and Somatic Experiencing®.
EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, isn't just a therapy method; it's a lifeline for those grappling with past traumas. By guiding clients through eye movements, sounds, or taps, Raquel helps reactivate the brain's natural healing processes. But Raquel's approach doesn't stop there. As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), she delves into the intricate connection between body and mind, using techniques that release pent-up trauma stored within the body. This isn't just about addressing symptoms; it's about uncovering the root of the pain and guiding clients toward genuine healing.
Through Raquel's compassionate and relatable approach, individuals find solace in knowing that they're not alone on their journey toward healing. She offers a safe space where vulnerability is met with understanding and where the path to recovery is walked hand in hand. As a trauma-focused therapist, Raquel established a counseling and consultant practice to help people work through their most challenging experiences and support the professional development of the next generation of future trauma-focused clinicians.
